Upholstery Repair in Las Vegas
Fix the Damage, Keep the Furniture You Love
Not every damaged piece needs to be stripped down and reupholstered. If it’s a tear, a sagging cushion or a broken zipper on furniture that’s otherwise in good shape, a repair gets it back in service for less time and less money than a full recover.

Common Upholstery Repairs
Furniture damage doesn’t always happen in one big piece. A loose seam, worn-out cushion, small tear, or unstable frame can make a good piece frustrating to use. We look at what’s actually causing the problem and repair the part that needs attention, whether it’s the fabric, cushioning, stitching, or structure underneath.
Tears, Rips & Burns
A cut, tear or burn hole doesn’t always mean the whole piece needs new fabric. Depending on the size, location and how well we can match the material, we can patch or rework just the damaged section so it blends in rather than standing out.
Sagging Cushions & Foam
If a couch feels like it’s swallowing you when you sit down, it’s usually the foam that’s flattened out or the springs and webbing underneath that have stretched. We can replace the foam and rebuild the support layer without touching the fabric, which brings a lot of older furniture back to being comfortable again.
Seams & Zippers
Split seams, popped stitching and broken zippers are some of the most common upholstery fix requests we get, and they’re also some of the fastest to turn around since the fabric itself is usually fine.
Frame, Legs & Hardware
Loose legs, wobbly frames and worn hardware are often mistaken for a fabric problem when the real issue is underneath. We check and tighten joints, replace worn hardware and stabilize the frame so the piece isn’t just recovered, it’s actually solid again.
Couch Restoration
Couch restoration near you usually means more than a single fix. It’s addressing everything that’s gone wrong at once: a repaired seam here, replaced foam there, maybe a leg that needs tightening. Rather than treating each issue separately, we look at the whole piece and handle it as one restoration job, so it comes back genuinely ready for daily use instead of one problem away from needing another repair call.
Repair or Reupholster? How to Decide
The honest answer depends on what’s actually wrong with the piece:
- Good candidates for repair: a single tear, burn or seam split, sagging cushions with an otherwise solid frame, loose hardware, one or two isolated issues on furniture that still looks good overall
- Better off reupholstered: fabric that’s worn, faded or outdated across the whole piece, multiple repairs needed at once, or damage in a spot that can’t be patched without it being obvious
- Worth a second look either way: a frame that’s cracked or falling apart at the joints usually isn’t worth repairing or reupholstering, regardless of how the fabric looks
Send us photos of the damage and we’ll tell you honestly which category your piece falls into, not just take the more expensive job.
In-Home Repair
Some repairs can be handled without moving your furniture out of the house. In-home upholstery repair tends to work well for things like:
- Loose or wobbly frame hardware
- Minor seam and zipper repairs
- Cushion and foam adjustments that don’t require major disassembly
Larger jobs, like extensive fabric replacement or major frame work, usually need the workshop for the right equipment and conditions. Send photos and we’ll tell you which setting fits your repair.
Repair FAQs
How much does upholstery repair cost?
It depends on what’s damaged and how much work it takes to fix. A single seam repair costs far less than replacing foam across a whole sofa. Send photos and we’ll give you a number specific to your piece.
Can a torn sofa be repaired instead of reupholstered?
Often, yes, especially if it’s one tear in an accessible spot and the rest of the fabric is in decent shape. If the fabric is worn everywhere else too, reupholstering usually makes more sense long-term.
How long does upholstery repair take?
Smaller repairs like seams, zippers or hardware are usually quicker than anything involving foam replacement or fabric matching. Ask for a timeframe when you send your photos.
Can sagging cushions be fixed without reupholstering the whole piece?
Yes, in most cases. Sagging is almost always a foam or support problem underneath the fabric, and we can often replace that without touching the upholstery itself.
Do you repair furniture in my home?
For certain repairs, yes. See the In-Home Repair section above for what typically qualifies.
